ANSPIEL
Chorisch, performativ und interaktiv führt das Ensemble an verschiedenen Orten der Gartenausstellung das städtische Umfeld der IGA Berlin 2017 auf. Als Kollektiv bewegt es sich in einem performativen Walk über das Gelände, hält an, beobachtet, bildet Soundduschen und dialogische Chöre. Es nimmt Raum ein, steht im Weg, verbindet sich mit den Bühnen der IGA und der Stadtkulisse im Hintergrund. Die Requisite, ein DDR-Museum auf Rollen, begleitet das Stück. Immer neue Bilder und Situationen entstehen in der Verknüpfung der Umgebung mit Text, Klang, Kleidung und Handlung. Jede Aufführung ist eine Premiere.

Wer in Marzahn Hellersdorf lebt, sitzt in der ersten Reihe mit Blick auf die IGA Berlin 2017 und ist gleichzeitig konfrontiert mit stadträumlicher Veränderung und IGA-Tourismus. Die öffentliche Aufmerksamkeit richtet sich auf ein Lebensumfeld, dem seit Mauerfall negative Stereotype anhaften.
Zwischen 2013 und 2017 forschte Seraphina Lenz im Bezirk zum Aufeinandertreffen von DDR-Geschichte und aktuellen Prozessen von Stadtentwicklung. Dabei kamen Parallelen in den Blick: Ebenso wie die Vorstellung einer idealen Stadt sozialistischer Lebensweise greifen heutige Konzepte von Stadtplanung weit in die Zukunft aus und wirken sich auf die Lebensbedingungen der Stadtbewohner:innen aus.
Deren persönliche Perspektiven standen im Fokus von ANSPIEL. 2016 gründete Seraphina Lenz ein Ensemble mit 16 Protagonist:innen aus dem Bezirk, die aus ihren Erfahrungen heraus diskutierten: Wie verhält sich Marzahn zum Stadtzentrum? Welche stereotypen Zuschreibungen von außen schmerzen? Welche kollektiven Erinnerungen an die Zeit vor dem Mauerfall sind in das heutige Lebensgefühl derer eingeschrieben, die als Kinder Pioniere waren?
Aus Gesprächen, Textarbeit und Schauspieltraining entstand das Material für die Performance: Die Anfänge des Neubaugebiets, das aktuelle Lebensgefühl und Forderungen für die Zukunft des Bezirks.

ANSPIEL
The ensemble performed the urban environment of the Internationale Gartenausstellung Berlin 2017 (IGA) chorally and interactively at various locations of the garden exhibition. As a collective, they moved across the site in a performative walk, stopping, observing, forming sound showers and dialogic choirs. They took up space, standing in the way and connected with the stages of the IGA and the city backdrop. The prop, a GDR museum on wheels, accompanied the play. New images and situations are constantly created in an associative web between the surroundings and the text, sound, costume, and action. Every performance is a premiere.

If you live in Marzahn Hellersdorf, you have a front row seat for the IGA Berlin 2017, yet you are simultaneously confronted with a changing urban landscape and IGA tourism. Public attention is focused on a living environment that has been associated with negative stereotypes since the fall of the Berlin Wall.
Between 2013 and 2017, Seraphina Lenz conducted research in the district on the clash between GDR history and currently developing urban processes. Certain parallels came to light: Just like the idea of an ideal city in a socialist society, today's concepts of urban planning reach far into the future and affect residents’ current living conditions.
The personal perspectives of inhabitants of Marzahn Hellersdorf were the focus of ANSPIEL. In 2016, Seraphina Lenz founded an ensemble with 16 protagonists from the district who discussed their experiences: How does Marzahn relate to the city center? Which external stereotypical attributions are hurtful? What collective memories of the of the GDR time are inscribed in the current attitude toward life of those who were pioneers as children? The material for the performance emerged from conversations, text work and acting training revolving around the beginnings of the new development area, the atmosphere in the quarter, as well as claims and demands for the future of Marzahn.
