Seraphina Lenz often devotes her work in urban space to moments of disappearance and transition. In her installation A Friendly Cephalopod with Hanging Arms, she focuses on the proportions and aesthetic qualities of a building slated for demolition. She presents the results of a precise, tactile survey and exhibits a future souvenir, through which she has transformed the building’s iconic façade into a piece of jewelry. The ticket booth thus becomes a kiosk commemorating itself.
