Die Installation „Fontanegaststätte“ entstand 2019 für die Biennale Land(schafft)Kunst.
Fontanes Name, touristisch wichtig für das Havelland, konnte den Niedergang der nach ihm benannten Gaststätte in Ribbeck, dem Dorf des berühmten Birnbaum-Gedichts, nicht verhindern. Das Bild der heruntergekommenen Fassade ist als Potemkinsche Atrappe hineingesetzt in die ländliche Kulisse der Biennale im havelländischen Neuwerder. Sie spielt auf Erwartungen und Enttäuschungen an, die mit einer Landpartie auf den Spuren Fontanes verbunden sein mögen.

Fontane's name, important for tourism in Havelland, could not prevent the decline of the restaurant named after him in Ribbeck, the village of his famous pear tree poem. The Potemkin mock-up, set against the rural backdrop of the Biennale in Neuwerder in the Havelland, alludes to the expectations and disappointments that may be associated with a trip to the countryside in Fontane's footsteps.
